Prescription Drop Off

The box is designed for people to drop off their expired and/or no longer needed medication. According to statistics, more than seven million Americans currently abuse prescription drugs.  The prescription drop box is for prescription drugs only. The Sheriff’s Office cannot allow any syringes or liquids to be dropped off in the drug drop box.

Each day, approximately 2,500 teenagers use prescription drugs to get high for the first time. This Dropbox gives people the ability and opportunity to properly and safely dispose of prescription drugs and ensure that they do not get into the wrong hands. The program also keeps drugs out of our waterways and landfills.

"Anything we can do to keep potentially dangerous prescription drugs out of the wrong hands is a win for the community," said Sheriff Greg Seabolt.

This collection box is available on the first-floor elevator entrance of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Citizens can drop off the prescription drugs Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no questions asked and no paperwork to fill out.
