Project Hug

For many years, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has been gathering and providing stuffed animals to offer comfort to children in distressing and frightening circumstances. Deputies keep these toys in their vehicles to soothe a child or simply to engage with them.

Occasionally, we have shared the stuffed animals with firefighters and EMS.

Over the past year, we have also donated some stuffed animals to memory care facilities, where they can bring joy and comfort to patients in need of a smile or a hug.
