Our Randolph County Food Hub will be a year-round online marketplace offering locally grown, caught, raised, and prepared products. Using a web-based platform, Local Food Marketplace (LFM), producers will have the opportunity to upload products for sale, set their own prices, and update weekly inventory. Customers can view available products, along with producer profiles that communicate each producer’s story. Customers can purchase items from multiple farms, receive one invoice, and pick up in one order, making it easier and more convenient to access multiple farms and producers at once. Producers receive a weekly “pick list” with products already purchased by customers and will make a delivery to the food hub in Asheboro, NC. Products are aggregated and packed by food hub staff, and then ready for pick-up day.
