Randolph County Agricultural Center

Mission Statement

The Randolph County Agricultural Center is a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative place for people and organizations to build systems that strengthen economies, enhance resiliency, and build community.

Welcome to the Randolph County Agricultural Center

The Randolph County Agricultural Center is a vibrant, future-focused space where agriculture, education, and community come together. Designed to support a wide range of local needs, it acts as a launchpad for innovative programs, sustainable practices, and economic growth. By bringing together farmers, educators, entrepreneurs, and families under one roof, the Center fosters meaningful connections and practical solutions. It’s more than a facility – it's a catalyst for shaping a stronger, more resilient Randolph County.

 Resource and Education Center

The Resource and Education Center is a hub for hands-on learning, collaboration, and skill-building. It includes classrooms, meeting spaces, a demonstration kitchen, digital skills lab, commercial kitchens, and food hub. Classrooms, labs, and meeting spaces will provide space for hands-on learning and community collaboration, while the commercial kitchens will provide commercial-grade equipment in a certified kitchen for value-added producers, caterers, and budding food service entrepreneurs. The Food Hub will connect local producers with institutions and families to increase food security in Randolph County and surrounding communities.

Event Center and Arena

The Event Center and Arena offer versatile spaces for the community to gather, celebrate, and engage. From career fairs and community meetings to livestock handling demos and private sales, these venues are designed to accommodate a wide range of activities. The Event Center provides an ideal setting for workshops, trade shows, and local celebrations, while the Arena supports agricultural education through live demonstrations and events. Together, they serve as vital spaces where industry and community intersect.

Location of the Center

The Randolph County Agricultural Center will be part of the 104 acres of land in Randolph County, purchased by the Board of Commissioners in 2016. The site is near the intersection of Highway 64 and East Salisbury Street, close to Vista Parkway and approximately a mile and a half from the recently completed 64 bypass. Randolph County is located in the geographic center of the state - approximately an hour away from Charlotte and Raleigh, and 30 minutes south of Greensboro. The site has access to water and sewer and easy access to visitor amenities such as hotels, restaurants, and related business operations. Water and sewer will be provided by the City of Asheboro. There will be offices for N.C. Cooperative Extension and the County Soil Water Conservation District. The Randolph County Agricultural Center will include an open air, roofed arena for livestock educational activities, an event center, demonstration plots, pastures for demonstrations, a commercial shared kitchen with cold storage, and educational space for county partners to use while onsite.
