On July 1, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of sexual acts upon a minor. Following an investigation of the allegations, Criminal Investigation Detectives sought charges against Anthony Tyler Jacobs for two counts of felony first-degree statutory sex offense with a child under 13 years of age.
On September 22, 2023, Jacobs was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the warrant. The magistrate issued a $250,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 25, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
The investigation is ongoing.
