On February 10, 2026, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Highway Unit conducted a traffic stop on I-85 in Archdale, NC. After further investigation, a subsequent search was conducted on the vehicle, and detectives located and seized approximately 49.8 pounds of marijuana and US Currency.
As a result, Dominique Jamaal Watkins was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of two counts of felony trafficking in marijuana and misdemeanor resist/obstruct public officer. He received a $50,000 secured bond, with a first appearance set for February 11, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
