
In January 2026, members of the Invictus Task Force initiated an investigation related to a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During the course of the investigation, Daniel Keith McClain was identified as a suspect.
On February 6, 2026, the Invictus Task Force executed a search warrant, and as a result, Daniel Keith McClain was subsequently taken into custody and charged with two (2) counts of Felony Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. McClain was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center, where the magistrate issued no bond and set a first appearance in Alamance County District Court for February 9, 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office or Invictus Task Force representatives.
