On July 7, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received information of a possible sex offense upon a minor. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the allegations, charges were sought against Sherman Allen Bush for two counts of felony first- degree statutory sex offense and two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest. On January 5, 2026, this case was presented to the Grand Jury where a true bill of indictment was issued.
On January 12, 2026, the Criminal Apprehension Team conducted a surveillance operation that led to the apprehension of Sherman Allen Bush without incident in Randleman, NC.
