On January 11, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 311 at I-74, Sophia. The driver was identified as Cody Allen Trivett, who had an outstanding order for arrest. During a search to arrest, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located.
He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause was found for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Trivett was given no bond and a court date of January 12th, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
