On December 11, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to McDermott St., Asheboro, in reference to an agency assist with NC Probation and Parole Officers who had located Joshua McKenzie Allred. Allred had an active parole warrant and when searched, they had located an illegal substance and paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located additional paraphernalia.
The deputy took custody of Allred and transported him to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a schedule II-controlled substance, and three counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 12, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Probation Officers later served Allred with his outstanding parole warrant.
