On October 28, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a vehicle that had already occurred on Troy Caveness Rd., Ramseur.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, suspects were developed and charges were sought against Leslie Ann Moore Pugh and James William Kindley for felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen motor vehicle, and felony obtain property by false pretense. The magistrate found probable cause and issued warrants for their arrest.
On November 5, 2025, while currently confined in the Randolph County Detention Center, Pugh was served with her warrant for arrest. The magistrate issued no bond due to having pending criminal charges, and a first appearance was set for November 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
On November 12, 2025 Kindley turned himself in at the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served with his warrant for arrest. The magistrate issued no bond due to having pending criminal charges, and a first appearance was set for November 13, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
