On November 2, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Union Grove Church Rd., Seagrove in reference to the theft of two vehicles that had already occurred.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, both vehicles were recovered, and a suspect was developed. Charges were sought against Kevin Michael Dowling for two counts of felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and two counts of felony obtain property by false pretense.
On November 17, 2025, with assistance from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Dowling was located, arrested, and transported to their detention center, where he was served his warrants and issued no bond. A first appearance was set for November 24, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
