On November 6, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 220 Bus. S., Asheboro. The driver was identified as Jesse Robert Caldwell, who had an order for arrest driving while license revoked. A passenger was identified as Megan Danielle Sexton, who had an order for arrest out of Montgomery County. Both were placed under arrest.
During a inventory of the vehicle for towing, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located. The third passenger, identified as Max Gray Harris was also placed under arrest at this time.
All were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia against all three. All three suspects were held on no bond due to all being out on pre-trial release on other pending drug charges. A first appearance was set for November 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
