On August 4, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Sunset View Dr., Archdale. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Ricky Shawn Morris.
During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located, and a set of brass knuckles was discovered in Morris’ pocket. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. He received no bond due to pending charges for possession of narcotics in Guilford County. A first appearance was scheduled for August 5, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
