On June 16, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Whispering Way, Sophia, in reference to a fight. Upon arrival and investigation, it was advised that Michael Evan Hawkins had assaulted persons at the residence and stolen a vehicle. Charges were sought against Hawkins for felony common law robbery, felony larceny of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor interfere with emergency communication, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
On June 17, 2025, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office reported finding the vehicle in their jurisdiction.
On June 30, 2025, Hawkins was located in Davidson County, arrested, and transported to the Davidson County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant. He was issued a $50,000 secured bond. A court date was set for July 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
