On May 3, 2025, while assisting with a license checkpoint on Unity St., Thomasville, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office identified Justin Brent Moran, who did not have an active driver’s license, and placed him under arrest for unserved outstanding processes. During a subsequent search and inventory of the vehicle for towing, illegal substances were located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor driving while license revoked. He was not given a bond due to being out on pre-trial release. He was also served his outstanding order for arrest out of Randolph County and given a $1,000 secured bond and set to appear in Randolph County District Court on May 5, 2025.
Moran was also served two outstanding Warrants for Arrest out of Davidson County, was given a $30,000 secured bond, and is set to appear in Davidson County District Court on May 8, 2025.
