On March 27, 2025, additional charges were sought against Pittman related to a 2024 investigation at Ramseur Elementary School for misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property. He was served the warrant and issued a $3,500 secured bond. A first appearance was held in Randolph County District Court on March 28, 2025, on this charge.
On April 1, 2025, additional charges were sought against Pittman related to the 2023 investigation at Ramseur Elementary School for felony breaking and/or entering and felony larceny after break/enter. Still confined at the Randolph County Detention Center, Pittman was served this warrant and issued no bond on April 7, 2025. A first appearance was set for April 8, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.

On March 13, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, along with Ramseur Units, followed up on leads developed during an investigation into a theft on Brady St., Ext., Ramseur. During the follow-up, probable cause was developed, and a search warrant was obtained for a residential property on Brinton Pl. in Ramseur. A resident of the property was identified as Ryan Chace Pittman. During the execution of the search warrant, a large quantity of property was recovered. It was also discovered that other items seized had also been reported stolen from eight other active cases, including property from a 2023 investigation at Ramseur Elementary School. Pittman was arrested at the scene and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. The magistrate found probable cause for the initial charges of four counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property. He was issued a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for March 14, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
On March 14, additional charges were sought against Pittman for felony larceny after break/enter, felony breaking and/or entering, and misdemeanor injury to personal property for a breaking and entering reported at Ramseur Elementary in February 2025. He was issued an additional $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for March 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
On March 17, 2025, charges were sought for felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor damage to coin/currency machine, misdemeanor break coin/currency machine, and misdemeanor injury to personal property against Pittman for a larceny that occurred in August 2024. He was served the warrant, and no bond was issued due to the Pre-trial Integrity Act. A first appearance was set for March 18, 2025.
On March 20, 2025, Detectives seized additional evidence that had been located and identified as stolen goods from the Brinton Pl. residence. As Detectives were gathering the items, a large display sign was also identified as belonging to a business on Jordan Road, Ramseur. A charge was sought for misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property related to these items and the magistrate found probable cause for the warrant. Pittman was served the additional warrant and issued no bond. A first appearance was set for March 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
This seizure allowed the teams to render charges in numerous cases with additional charges possible.
