On March 9, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on NC Hwy 62, Trinity. During a subsequent search, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located. The driver, identified as Toni Marie Gore, and a passenger, identified as James Rance Greer, were arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. The magistrate found probable cause for the following:
Gore: felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was not issued a bond due to having pending charges in court.
Greer: felony possession Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Greer was not given a bond due to having pending charges in court.
Both are set to appear in Randolph County District Court on March 10, 2025.
