On May 17, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of property stolen by Billy Wade Lassiter. During an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, items were recovered on Lassiter’s property on May 19, 2022, and removed. Charges were sought against Lassiter for felony possession of stolen goods and felony larceny. The magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On October 2, 2024, Lassiter was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for October 4, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
