On September 27, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Lanier Rd., for an agency assist and investigation.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Thomas Neill Freeman for felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury and misdemeanor child abuse, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On September 29, 2024, Freeman was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant and given no bond. A first appearance was set for September 30, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
