On June 20, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US Hwy 311 Business, Sophia, in reference to a reported theft.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought for Trinity Lanae Reed for felony break/enter motor vehicle with theft, two counts of felony financial card theft, two counts of identity theft, and two counts of misdemeanor financial card fraud.
On July 16, 2024, Reed was apprehended by the Criminal Apprehension Team on Tucker St., Burlington. She was arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where she was served her outstanding warrant. The magistrate issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 17, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
