On July 14, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hunters Woods Dr., Trinity, in reference to an armed person. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male subject in the yard, identified as Bobby Lee Hall, armed with an axe. Initially, Hall refused to comply with orders given to him but deputies were able to calm and detain him for further investigation. Deputies located the victim inside the residence and checked the welfare.
Following the investigation, Hall was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony first-degree kidnapping, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor resisting a public officer, and misdemeanor communicating threats. Hall was awarded no bond and a first appearance was set for July 15, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
