On July 12, 2024, the Randolph County Detention Center Staff located illegal narcotics in the possession of Stephanie Annette Weaver Pallas during her booking process. While being scanned, staff noticed a suspicious item in her clothing. During a search, the item was removed and additional narcotics were located. All items were presented to the Detention Center Detective for further investigation. The substances tested positive for cocaine.
Following the investigation, charges were sought for felony possession of a controlled substance in a local confinement facility, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The magistrate found probable cause for the charges and issued a criminal summons. She was served her summons and issued a court date of July 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Pallas had initially been arrested for a felony probation violation, resisting a public officer, and later a civil order for arrest for child support.
