On May 7, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cedar Lane in reference to communicated threats. Upon arrival, deputies located Anthony Sheldon Meeks in the front yard of the residence. During the investigation and consensual search of his vehicle, a firearm was located. Meeks is a convicted felon. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony firearm by felon. He was issued a secured bond of $5,000 and a first appearance was set for May 7, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
