On October 1, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US Hwy 220 S., Seagrove, in reference to larceny/theft in progress. Upon arrival, a witness reported seeing a female and two males walking back and forth from the storefront, carrying items to their car that had been displayed in front of the business. Following a search of the vehicle, the items were located and returned to the business, and the subjects were trespassed from the property.
One of the subjects, identified as Christopher Dylan Beane, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. He was therefore arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for October 2, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
