Fire Marshal's Office

The Randolph County Fire Marshal's Office provides a number of inspection services to Randolph County business and industry. Fire Inspectors are certified by the State to conduct routine fire safety inspections on all businesses, churches and schools within the unincorporated areas of Randolph County and for the Towns of Franklinville, Ramseur, Seagrove, and Staley.

Our office also consists of a fire plans review and permitting division that performs comprehensive plan review of all construction plans and documents to ensure compliance with the North Carolina Fire Code, Randolph County ordinances and other applicable standards. Our inspectors are involved with every aspect of construction, from blueprint plan review to final acceptance testing of all fire protection equipment.   

Additionally, our office provides home fire inspection services for Foster and Group Homes upon request at no cost for the initial inspection. To schedule a home fire inspection for foster or group home, please call 336-318-6914. 

Members of our staff are certified fire investigators, either through the State of North Carolina, International Association of Fire Investigators and/or National Association of Fire Investigators. An investigator is on-call 24/7 to respond to and assist fire departments with fire origin and cause determination when requested.
