Backes, Noah James
In October 2025, members of the Invictus Task Force initiated an investigation related to a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During the course of the investigation, Noah James Backes was identified as a suspect.
On March 20, 2026, the Invictus Task Force executed a search warrant; as a result, Noah James Backes was subsequently taken into custody and charged with one (1) count of Felony Second- Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and one (1) count of Felony Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Backes was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate issued a $100,000 secure bond and set a first appearance in Randolph County District Court for March 23, 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Liberty Police Department Invictus Task Force representatives.
